1.INSTALL BRAKE BOOSTER GASKET
Install a new brake booster gasket to the brake booster assembly.

2.INSTALL BRAKE BOOSTER ASSEMBLY
Temporarily install the brake booster assembly to the vehicle body.
- NOTICE:
-
Do not apply excessive force to the brake lines.
Temporarily install the lock nut and brake master cylinder push rod clevis to the brake booster assembly.
- NOTICE:
-
Fully tighten the lock nut when adjusting the brake pedal height.
Install the 4 nuts to secure the brake booster assembly.
- Torque:
- 12.7 N*m (130 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf)
- NOTICE:
-
Tighten the 4 nuts in the order shown in the illustration.

3.INSTALL PUSH ROD PIN

4.INSTALL BRAKE PEDAL RETURN SPRING
5.INSTALL ENGINE ROOM MAIN WIRE
Engage the 2 clamps to install the engine room main wire.
Install the bolt.
- Torque:
- 8.4 N*m (86 kgf*cm, 74 in.*lbf)

6.INSTALL UNION TO CHECK VALVE HOSE
Install the union to check valve hose with the 2 nuts.
- Torque:
- 5.4 N*m (55 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf)
Connect the union to check valve hose to the brake booster assembly, and slide the clip to secure it.
7.INSTALL BRAKE LINE (w/o ABS)

Temporarily tighten the 6 brake lines to the correct positions on the proportioning valve assembly and No. 2 brake tube way as shown in the illustration.
Using a union nut wrench, fully tighten each brake line.

- Torque:
- Specified tightening torque : 15.2 N*m (155 kgf*cm, 11 ft.*lbf)

Do not kink or damage the brake lines.
·Do not allow the brake lines to twist or interfere with other parts or the vehicle body during tightening.
·Do not allow any foreign matter such as dirt or dust to enter the brake lines from the connecting parts.
- HINT:
- ·
Calculate the torque wrench reading when changing the fulcrum length of the torque wrench.

·When using a union nut wrench (fulcrum length of 22 mm (0.866 in.)) + torque wrench (fulcrum length of 162 mm (6.38 in.)):
13.38 N*m (136 kgf*cm, 10 ft.*lbf)
Install the brake lines with the 2 bolts.
- Torque:
- 5.4 N*m (55 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf)

Temporarily tighten the 6 brake lines to the correct positions on the brake actuator assembly as shown in the illustration.

Using a union nut wrench, fully tighten each brake line.
- Torque:
- Specified tightening torque : 15.2 N*m (155 kgf*cm, 11 ft.*lbf)

Install the brake lines with the 2 bolts.
- Torque:
- 5.4 N*m (55 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf)

10.INSTALL FRONT NO. 4 BRAKE TUBE
Engage the grommet to install the front No. 4 brake tube.

Using a union nut wrench, connect the front No. 4 brake tube to the front flexible hose.
- Torque:
- Specified tightening torque : 15.2 N*m (155 kgf*cm, 11 ft.*lbf)

Start the engine. Make sure that there are no engine oil leaks from the area that was worked on.
