PROCEDURE
1. PRECAUTION (w/ Power Window)
- NOTICE:
-
After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

2.DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL (w/ Power Window)

When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

3.REMOVE DOOR ASSIST GRIP COVER
Using a moulding remover, disengage the 10 claws and remove the door assist grip cover.

4.REMOVE FRONT ARMREST ASSEMBLY
Using a moulding remover, disengage the 2 clips and 5 claws and remove the front armrest assembly.

5.REMOVE FRONT DOOR WINDOW REGULATOR HANDLE ASSEMBLY (w/o Power Window)

Apply protective tape to the area shown in the illustration.
Insert a clip remover between the front door regulator inside handle plate and front door trim board sub-assembly.
Turn the front door window regulator handle assembly with the clip remover inserted, as shown in the illustration.
Remove the front door window regulator handle assembly and front door window regulator handle shaft snap ring.

6.REMOVE FRONT DOOR REGULATOR INSIDE HANDLE PLATE (w/o Power Window)
Remove the front door regulator inside handle plate.
7.REMOVE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY WITH FRONT DOOR ARMREST BASE PANEL (for Driver Side with Power Window)
Using a moulding remover, disengage the clip, 8 claws and 4 guides.
Disconnect the connector and remove the power window regulator master switch assembly with front door armrest base panel.
8.REMOVE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY WITH FRONT DOOR ARMREST BASE PANEL (for Front Passenger Side with Power Window)
Using a moulding remover, disengage the clip, 8 claws and 5 guides.
Disconnect the connector and remove the power window regulator switch assembly with front door armrest base panel.

9.REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOWER FRAME BRACKET GARNISH
Disengage the clip and 2 guides and remove the front door lower frame bracket garnish.

10.REMOVE FRONT DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY

Protective Tape |
Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, disengage the claw and open the cover.

Put protective tape around the front door panel.
Remove the 3 screws.
Disengage the 8 clips and remove the front door trim board sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.
Disconnect the front door lock remote control cable assembly and front door inside locking cable assembly.

11.REMOVE FRONT DOOR INSIDE HANDLE SUB-ASSEMBLY
Disengage the 4 guides and remove the front door inside handle sub-assembly.

12.REMOVE FRONT DOOR INNER GLASS WEATHERSTRIP
Disengage the 8 claws as shown in the illustration and remove the front door inner glass weatherstrip.
13.REMOVE OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY WITH COVER

14.REMOVE FRONT DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER
Remove the front door service hole cover.
- HINT:
-
Remove any remaining butyl tape from the front door panel.

15.REMOVE FRONT DOOR GLASS SUB-ASSEMBLY
w/ Power Window:
Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.
for Driver Side with Power Window:
Connect the power window regulator master switch assembly and move the front door glass sub-assembly so that the door glass bolts can be seen.
for Front Passenger Side with Power Window:
Connect the power window regulator switch assembly and move the front door glass sub-assembly so that the door glass bolts can be seen.
w/ Power Window:
Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
for Driver Side with Power Window:
Disconnect the power window regulator master switch assembly.
for Front Passenger Side with Power Window:
Disconnect the power window regulator switch assembly.
w/o Power Window:
Temporarily install the front door window regulator handle assembly and move the front door glass sub-assembly so that the door glass bolts can be seen.
Remove the front door window regulator handle assembly.
Remove the 2 bolts.
- NOTICE:
-
After the bolts are removed, do not allow the front door glass sub-assembly to fall.
Remove the front door glass sub-assembly as indicated by the arrows, in the order shown in the illustration.
- NOTICE:
-
Do not damage the front door glass sub-assembly.

16.REMOVE FRONT DOOR WINDOW REGULATOR ASSEMBLY (w/o Power Window)
Remove the 5 bolts and front door window regulator assembly.
- NOTICE:
-
Do not drop or damage the front door window regulator assembly when removing the bolts.
17.REMOVE FRONT DOOR WINDOW REGULATOR ASSEMBLY (w/ Power Window)

Disconnect the connector.
Loosen the temporary bolt.
- NOTICE:
-
Do not remove the temporary bolt. If the temporary bolt is removed, the front door window regulator assembly may fall and cause damage.
Remove the 5 bolts.
Remove the front door window regulator assembly.
Remove the temporary bolt from the front door window regulator assembly.

18.REMOVE FRONT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY (w/ Power Window)
Using a T25 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 3 screws and front power window regulator motor assembly from the front door window regulator sub-assembly.

19.REMOVE FRONT DOOR GLASS RUN
Remove the front door glass run.

20.REMOVE FRONT DOOR REAR LOWER FRAME SUB-ASSEMBLY
Remove the bolt.
Disengage the guide and remove the front door rear lower frame sub-assembly.
21.REMOVE FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE COVER WITH LOCK CYLINDER ASSEMBLY (for Driver Side)
Remove the hole plug.
Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, loosen the screw and remove the front door outside handle cover with lock cylinder assembly.
- HINT:
-
The screw cannot be removed because it is integrated into the front door outside handle frame sub-assembly.
22.REMOVE FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE COVER WITH LOCK CYLINDER ASSEMBLY (for Front Passenger Side)
w/ Lock Cylinder:

Use the same procedures as for the driver side.

23.REMOVE FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE COVER RH (for Driver Side)
Using a screwdriver, disengage the claw and 2 guides, and remove the front door outside handle cover RH as shown in the illustration.

24.REMOVE FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE COVER LH (for Front Passenger Side)
w/ Lock Cylinder:

Use the same procedure as for the driver side.
w/o Lock Cylinder:
Remove the hole plug.
Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, loosen the screw and remove the front door outside handle cover LH.
- HINT:
-
The screw cannot be removed because it is integrated into the front door outside handle frame sub-assembly.

25.REMOVE FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE ASSEMBLY
Remove the front door outside handle assembly as shown in the illustration.

26.REMOVE FRONT DOOR FRONT OUTSIDE HANDLE PAD
Disengage the 3 claws and remove the front door front outside handle pad.

Disengage the 2 claws and remove the front door rear outside handle pad.

28.REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY

Disconnect the connector.
Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 3 screws.
Slide the front door lock assembly downward to disconnect the front door lock open rod and remove the front door lock assembly and cables as a unit.
When reusing the front door lock assembly:
Remove the door lock wiring harness seal from the front door lock assembly.

29.REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOCK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
Using a screwdriver, disengage the 2 claws as shown in the illustration.
Disengage the 2 claws and remove the front door lock cover sub-assembly.

30.REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOCK REMOTE CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY
Remove the front door lock remote control cable assembly as shown in the illustration.

Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the screw.
Slide the front door outside handle frame sub-assembly to disengage the claw of the front door outside handle frame sub-assembly, and then remove it.

33.REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOCK OPEN ROD
Remove the front door lock open rod as indicated by the arrows, in the order shown in the illustration.

Remove the 3 bolts and front door check assembly.

Using a clip remover, disengage the 16 clips and remove the front door weatherstrip.

Disengage the clip and remove the door frame garnish.

This garnish needs to be replaced with a new one because the clip will break when removing it.
