LIGHTING (EXT) LIGHTING SYSTEM Front Fog Light Circuit
DESCRIPTION
The main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) controls the front fog lights.

Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following procedure.
PROCEDURE
Check the operation of the taillights.
- OK:
Taillights operate normally.
- Result:
Proceed to OK NG

Connect the GTS to the DLC3.
Turn the ignition switch to ON.
Turn the GTS on.
Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Active Test.
Perform the Active Test according to the display on the GTS.
- Body Electrical > Main Body > Active Test

Tester Display Front Fog Light Relay - 50004 123 16
- OK:
Front fog light relay operates. (Front fog lights come on.)

Remove the FR FOG RLY relay from the No. 4 relay block assembly.
Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
- Standard Voltage:
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 5 (FR FOG RLY relay terminal) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V
- Result:
Proceed to OK NG

Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
- Standard Voltage:
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 2 (FR FOG RLY relay terminal) - Body ground Light control switch in tail or head position 11 to 14 V
- Result:
Proceed to OK NG

Inspect the FR FOG RLY relay.

Disconnect the A19 fog light assembly LH connector.
Disconnect the A16 fog light assembly RH connector.
Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
- Standard Resistance:
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 3 (FR FOG RLY relay terminal) - A19-2 Always Below 1 Ω 3 (FR FOG RLY relay terminal) - A16-2 Always Below 1 Ω 3 (FR FOG RLY relay terminal) or A19-2 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher 3 (FR FOG RLY relay terminal) or A16-2 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
- Result:
Proceed to OK NG

Disconnect the 3C instrument panel junction block assembly connector.
Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
- Standard Resistance:
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 1 (FR FOG RLY relay terminal) - 3C-42 Always Below 1 Ω 1 (FR FOG RLY relay terminal) or 3C-42 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

Proceed to OK NG

Remove the instrument panel junction block assembly.
Click herePower Source / Network>POWER DISTRIBUTION>MAIN BODY ECU>REMOVAL
Remove the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) from the instrument panel junction block assembly.
Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
- Standard Resistance:
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 3C-42 - MB-13 (FFGO) Always Below 1 Ω
- Result:
Proceed to OK NG

Disconnect the 3D instrument panel junction block assembly connector.
Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
- Standard Resistance:
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 2 (FR FOG RLY relay terminal) - 3D-41 Always Below 1 Ω 2 (FR FOG RLY relay terminal) or 3D-41 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
- Result:
Proceed to OK NG
