2NZ-FE ENGINE CONTROL THROTTLE BODY REMOVAL
PROCEDURE
1.DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT

2.REMOVE NO. 2 CYLINDER HEAD COVER

3.REMOVE BATTERY
4.SEPARATE RADIATOR HOSE

*1 | Water By-pass Hose |
Remove the 2 bolts and separate the radiator hose from the battery carrier.
- NOTICE:
-
Do not disconnect the water by-pass hose.

5.REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE

Disconnect the mass air flow meter sub-assembly connector and disengage the 2 wire harness clamps.
Disengage the 2 vacuum hose clamps.
Separate the purge valve (purge VSV) from the air cleaner cap sub-assembly.

Disengage the 2 air cleaner cap clamps.
Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 2 ventilation hose from the cylinder head cover sub-assembly.

Loosen the hose clamp and remove the air cleaner cap with air cleaner hose from the throttle body with motor assembly.

6.REMOVE THROTTLE BODY WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY
for Manual Transaxle:

Remove the nut and separate the wire harness clamp bracket from the throttle body with motor assembly.

*1 | No. 1 Water By-pass Hose |
*2 | No. 2 Water By-pass Hose |
Disconnect the throttle body with motor assembly connector.
Slide the 2 clips and disconnect the No. 1 water by-pass hose and No. 2 water by-pass hose from the throttle body with motor assembly.

Remove the bolt, 3 nuts and throttle body with motor assembly from the intake manifold.
- NOTICE:
-
If the throttle body with motor assembly has been struck or dropped, replace it.

7.REMOVE THROTTLE BODY GASKET

Remove the throttle body gasket from the intake manifold.
