DESCRIPTION

The main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) detects the condition of front door unlock detection switch RH.

PROCEDURE

1.READ VALUE USING GTS
a.

Connect the GTS to the DLC3.


b.

Turn the ignition switch to ON.


c.

Turn the GTS on.


d.

Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Data List.


e.

Read the Data List according to the display on the GTS.

Remove the front door lock assembly RH.

Click hereVehicle Interior>DOOR LOCK>FRONT DOOR LOCK>REMOVAL


b.

Inspect the front door lock assembly RH.

Click hereVehicle Interior>DOOR LOCK>FRONT DOOR LOCK>INSPECTION

3.CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY RH - MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU) AND BODY GROUND)

REPLACE FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY RH

3.CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY RH - MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU) AND BODY GROUND)
a.

Disconnect the E31 main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) connector.


b.

Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
G7-7 (LSSR) - E31-18 (LSFR) Always Below 1 Ω
G7-7 (LSSR) or E31-18 (LSFR) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
G7-8 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
