2NZ-FE INTAKE / EXHAUST INTAKE MANIFOLD INSTALLATION

1.INSTALL NO. 1 INTAKE MANIFOLD TO HEAD GASKET
Install a new No. 1 intake manifold to head gasket to the intake manifold.

2.INSTALL INTAKE MANIFOLD
Temporarily install the intake manifold to the cylinder head sub-assembly with the 3 bolts and 2 nuts.
Tighten the 3 bolts and 2 nuts to the specified torque in several steps.
- Torque:
- 30 N*m (306 kgf*cm, 22 ft.*lbf)
Engage the wire harness clamp to the intake manifold.
Connect the 2 wire harness clamp brackets to the intake manifold with the 2 bolts.
- Torque:
- 10.5 N*m (107 kgf*cm, 8 ft.*lbf)

3.INSTALL ENGINE OIL LEVEL DIPSTICK SUB-ASSEMBLY
Install the engine oil level dipstick sub-assembly to the engine oil level dipstick guide.

4.INSTALL HOSE CLAMP
Install the hose clamp to the intake manifold.
5.INSTALL STUD BOLT
- HINT:
-
If a stud bolt is deformed or the threads are damaged, replace it.
Using an E6 "TORX" socket wrench, install the 3 stud bolts to the intake manifold.
- Torque:
- 4.0 N*m (41 kgf*cm, 35 in.*lbf)

6.CONNECT UNION TO CONNECTOR TUBE HOSE
Connect the union to connector tube hose to the intake manifold and slide the clip to secure it.

7.CONNECT VENTILATION HOSE
Connect the ventilation hose to the intake manifold and slide the clip to secure it.

8.CONNECT NO. 2 FUEL VAPOR FEED HOSE
Connect the No. 2 fuel vapor feed hose to the intake manifold and slide the clip to secure it.

9.CONNECT NO. 2 WATER BY-PASS HOSE
Connect the No. 2 water by-pass hose to the hose clamp.

10.INSTALL THROTTLE BODY WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY
