1.INSTALL THROTTLE BODY GASKET

Install a new throttle body gasket to the intake manifold with the protrusion of the throttle body gasket oriented as shown in the illustration.

2.INSTALL THROTTLE BODY WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY
Install the throttle body with motor assembly to the intake manifold with the bolt and 3 nuts.
- Torque:
- 10 N*m (102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf)
- NOTICE:

If the throttle body with motor assembly has been struck or dropped, replace it.
Connect the No. 1 water by-pass hose and No. 2 water by-pass hose to the throttle body with motor assembly and slide the 2 clips to secure them.
Connect the throttle body with motor assembly connector.
for Manual Transaxle:
Install the wire harness clamp bracket to the throttle body with motor assembly with the nut.
- Torque:
- 8.4 N*m (86 kgf*cm, 74 in.*lbf)

3.INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE
Install the air cleaner cap with air cleaner hose to the throttle body with motor assembly.
Engage the 2 air cleaner cap clamps.
Tighten the hose clamp.
- Torque:
- 2.0 N*m (20 kgf*cm, 18 in.*lbf)
Connect the No. 2 ventilation hose to the cylinder head cover sub-assembly and slide the clip to secure it.
Install the purge valve (purge VSV) to the air cleaner cap sub-assembly.
Engage the 2 vacuum hose clamps.
Connect the mass air flow meter sub-assembly connector and engage the 2 wire harness clamps.
4.INSTALL RADIATOR HOSE
Install the radiator hose to the battery carrier with the 2 bolts.
- Torque:
- 8.8 N*m (90 kgf*cm, 78 in.*lbf)

5.INSTALL BATTERY

6.INSTALL NO. 2 CYLINDER HEAD COVER
7.ADD ENGINE COOLANT
8.INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK
9.PERFORM INITIALIZATION

Be sure to perform this procedure after removing and reinstalling the throttle body with motor assembly or any throttle body with motor assembly components.
·Perform the following procedure after replacing the throttle body with motor assembly or any throttle body with motor assembly components. The following procedure should also be performed if the throttle body with motor assembly is cleaned.
·After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Wait at least 60 seconds and reconnect the cable.
Connect the GTS to the DLC3.
Clear the DTCs.

Turn the ignition switch to ON without operating the accelerator pedal.
Start the engine and check that the MIL is not illuminated. After the engine is warmed up, check that the idle speed is within the specified range with the A/C switch off.
- Standard Idle Speed:
650 to 750 rpm

Be sure to perform this step with all accessories off.
·Make sure that the shift lever is in P or N (for Automatic Transaxle).
·Make sure that the shift lever is in neutral (for Manual Transaxle).
Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Data List / Throttle Sensor Position.
- Powertrain > Engine and ECT > Data List

Tester Display Throttle Sensor Position - 50003 234 12
Fully depress the accelerator pedal and check that the value is 60% or higher.

- ·
Make sure that the shift lever is in P or N (for Automatic Transaxle).
·Make sure that the shift lever is in neutral (for Manual Transaxle).
Perform a road test and confirm that there are no abnormalities.
