HEATING / AIR CONDITIONING AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM(for Automatic Air Conditioning System) CHECK MODE PROCEDURE
REFRIGERANT SHORTAGE CHECK IN NORMAL OPERATION (CHECK A/C SWITCH INDICATOR AND DTC)
Start the engine.
Check that the A/C switch indicator remains on when the following conditions are met.

Air conditioning operation time | 15 minutes or more |
Ambient temperature* | 0 to 49°C (32 to 120°F) |
Engine coolant temperature | 45°C (113°F) or more |
*: If the ambient temperature is not within the range shown, do not perform this check.

The A/C switch indicator and air conditioning system turn off if the amount of refrigerant in the system is insufficient.
Connect the GTS to the DLC3.
Check for DTC B14B8.
REFRIGERANT SHORTAGE CHECK USING GTS
Connect the GTS to the DLC3.
Start the engine.
Turn the GTS on.
Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Air Conditioner / Utility / Refrigerant Gas Volume Check.
According to the display on the GTS, perform the refrigerant shortage check when the following conditions are met.
- Body Electrical > Air Conditioner > Utility

·A message indicating a refrigerant shortage is displayed on the GTS and the air conditioning system turns off if the amount of refrigerant in the system is insufficient.
·DTCs are not stored when performing the refrigerant shortage check using the GTS.
